This video was shot on August 20, 2014 on West Florissant Avenue in #Ferguson, Missouri. Just prior to what you are about to see, clergy gathered everyone for a prayer. We began walking towards the Mike Brown memorial at that point. Witihin a matter of minutes our attention was brought back to West Florissant. The police had blocked off entry to West Florissant from Canfield Drive, forcing us to walk all the way around. We ended up jumping a fence after a homeowner suggested we use her backyard. As you will see, everyone on West Florissant was corralled by the police. Media was being ordered back to the "Command Post" (which by the way was about a 1/4 mile up he road). Media refused. Protestors refused to leave as well. Eventually everyone was blocked into a small area of McDonald's parking lot where St. Louis County Police began agressively rushing the crowd, guns in hand, pointed aimlessly at the crowd and "snatching" people for arrest. Once of twice I had a shotgun pointed at me, camera in hand. You will not see one protestor in this video who was violent or who was in anyway a threat to the police or anyone else. The only violence you will see was willfully perpetrated by the police. Video by: Chris Gagne (@cgagneASN) and Jamil Wooten (@iamh2ohh).
