Best line in a film noir. This is among the classic film noir: Out Of The Past, 1947. Jane Greer and the underrated Robert Mitchum, whose post bust two years later nearly ended his career. Here, Greer plays evil femme fatal. Film noir was "B" movies until the French took a fancy to the genre and re-named it. A world weary anti-hero, a femme fatal or a beauty who falls for him, go into the past, and make great use camera angles of shadows and light. Kirk Douglas has an early role. Two years later Greer volunteered to work with Mitchum in The Big Steal after the female lead backed out and nobody else wanted to work with Mitchum because of his pot bust.
