"Summitt" was a popular New York based Rock Group which assembled back in the mid 1960's. Orignal members included Charles Iwachow (Rhythm), Ray Gillis (Bass) Wayne Gillis (Lead) & Mark Keifer (Drums). In the early 70's drummer, Mark Keifer, left the group and was replaced by Mark John Lanuto (Isie) whose performance can be heard on this 1976 recording of "Keep In Touch" a song primarily composed by brothers, Ray & Wayne Gillis. Another member, keyboardist Tony Capone, had also been added, but due to untimely health-related issues would leave and re-join the band periodically. As a result, Capone's performance is not included on this release. In 1976, this version was professionally recorded over at "Ultrasonic Studios" in Hempstead, L.I. Other famous performers such as, BillyJoel, Todd Rungren, Iron Butterfly, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton, have also recorded at this same studio. An earlier (single) demo version of this song was recorded back in 1974, minus flip-side, "Keep in Touch," composed by brothers, Ray and Wayne Gillis. Any known copy, however, is, apparently, lost in history. Though not as commercially appealing as A-Side "Running Wild," "Keep In Touch" was a suitable song choice for the flip side offering a more sedate and harmonious style of writing.
