For What It's Worth (Buffalo Springfield Cover) - Gillis

submitted by gillnbarry on 05/07/15 1

My 7-track attempt of recording a powerful and influential song released in January, 1967, originally recorded by "Buffalo Springfield" and written by group-member Stephen Stills. Just about every local band worth their salt, including the one I was a member of would be performing this song at the local bar, club or lounge. While regarded by many as a protest, or anti-establishment song, other music lovers (including me) really didn't care what the lyrics were supposed to mean, but just enjoyed hearing a fantastic song! Please note that my entirely recreated song rendition is solely for comparison purposes, commenting; potential inspiration to other musicians, and to endeavor to call attention to the original artists and composers whose creation, original performance and production must be acknowledged, appreciated and rightfully supported. Hope you enjoy my version.
