CKNW's Bill Good talks one-on-one with BC's Top CEO's, delving into how they achieved success, what lessons they have learned along the way and what they envision for the future of their industries. While all that glitters is not gold, for Charles Jeannes, President and CEO of Goldcorp, a great deal of it is. And for some, dealing with such a precious commodity, can mean losing sight of the value found in both dedicated employees, and prudent planning. Charles has worked diligently to ensure he's never lost sight of the people who make their company shine. An honors graduate from the University of Arizona, Charles spent over a decade studying law before making his way to the precious metals market. An executive with Glamis Gold from 1999, the two thousand six merger with Goldcorp moved Charles into an Executive Vice Presidential role. His broad experience in mining transactions, public and private financing, permitting and international regulation made Charles Jeannes the obvious candidate for President and CEO. For upholding a golden business plan relying on both industry knowledge and dependable employees, it's our honor to welcome Charles Jeannes, today's guest for CKNW's Chief Executive Series. The Chief Executive Series is presented by FortisBC and hosted at the Beedie School of Business (Simon Fraser University). BCBusiness is the exclusive ticket partner.
