In Your Own Sweet Way -- jazz piano solo

This is more Bill Evans in style than Dave Brubeck. I really like the chord progressions of this tune, which are both interesting and clean. I use Synthogy Ivory II Steinway. This patch has no EQ, no Reverb. I use three outboard compressors and an adaptive limiter in Logic to manage the dynamics. For those people considering Ivory, this is an example of the unadorned sound of the samples. There is still a slight amount of room sound that can be heard in the samples with the reverb turned off. I enjoy playing Ivory as plain as possible because it reduces latency and makes it feel more responsive. I usually play Ivory with a very simple setting and then add outboard processing during the mix/master phase where latency isn't an issue.
