LARS learning wide angle camera the hard way. THE norwegian 4x10 cross-country team has just won gold at the FIS World Champ's in Sapporo, Japan (march 02, 2007). Cross-country/biathlete LARS BERGER (l), and Eldar Rønning in the backseat. Norwegian TV (NRK) reporter Ingerid Stenvold updating on skijumping after the goldinterview. Petter Northug (front seat) and Odd-Bjørn Hjelmeset (behind Ingerid) also present in the car. Coach Morten Aa Djupvik driving. DUE to the time difference and the hurry to carry the news, nobody noticed in Sapporo or in the editing-room in Oslo. Thereby this was aired on national television in Norway, a couple of hours after it happened. Lars didn't understand that he was in the frame (I think), Ingerid learned about this later when media started to call her. Media frenzy for days in Norway. www.dagbladet.no/sport/2007/03/09/494453.html www.vg.no/sport/ski/artikkel.php?artid=180155 www.vg.no/sport/ski/artikkel.php?artid=168578 Update (feb 2010): www.vg.no/sport/ol/2010/artikkel.php?artid=579485 WHAT Ingerid says: "Tomorrow is the last competition for the skijumpers here in Sapporo, the small hill run, and tonight it was qualification. It was a man from Orkdal (Roar Ljøkelsøy) that performed best among the norwegians, and he said he was inspired by a man from his home county (Petter Northug).
