The R2R Chess Invitational On Tuesday, December 30th (12/30/14), a dozen chess players from the Washington, D.C. area clashed in our first of many upcoming chess events. The tournament was specifically designed to give retired veterans, disabled veterans, homeless men and women, and special guests a chance to participate in an organized chess competition minus the expensive entry fees and federation membership dues typically associated with traditional chess tournaments.
