This was our third Songkran in Thailand, and by far the best one yet! We celebrated with fellow travel bloggers which made the event that much more memorable. The weather was hot which made being soaked with buckets of water and water guns quite refreshing. For those not familiar with Songkran, this is a three day country-wide celebration of the Thai New Year. Traditionally the throwing/splashing of water was to wash away past sins in preparation for the new year. This has evolved into an all out water fight between young and old, men and women, everyone participates. Songkran should be on everyones bucket list at least one time, or do like us and come for three!
