A Beginner's Finger Tapping (Guitar Tapping) Lesson

submitted by ranjila77 on 03/24/15 1

Here's an introductory lesson to finger tapping, sometimes called guitar tapping. This is where you use your right hand to tap the guitar strings instead of strumming them. This technique was made famous by Eddie Van Halen, though since then many other players have picked up on it and made it part of their own style. It's possible to go way overboard with fingertapping, but to simply get started, we can keep it fairly simple. You just need to know your scale fairly well!
