The Sun City West Pickleball Drop and Tournament on Saturday, January 10, 2015, held to raise funds for the Helping Hands division of the Sun City West Foundation, was a huge success! Ken Holtz, president of the Pickleball Club presented a check for $9,025, which increased to $10,250 when all counts were done, to the Sun City West Foundation's Executive Director, Patti Rowan and President, Norm Bunas. Even though it turned into a rainy, wet day, which halted the tournament throughout the afternoon, it was a great event for a very deserving charity. A special thank you goes out to the Sun City West Fire Department and the Sun City Fire Department, who assisted with their ladder truck since Sun City West’s truck was undergoing maintenance.
