Maria Cristina Foundation was created by Maria Conceicao, who has been tirelessly working since 2005 for the education and emancipation of the underprivileged children in Dhaka. She has touched the lives of thousands of people, and has done anything and everything possible within her physical limits to help the underprivileged break from the cycle of poverty. She is the first Portuguese woman in history to summit Mount Everest and a Double Guinness World Record holder. She continues to struggle to raise funds to support her children and their families.
