submitted by boneflytravel on 03/08/15 1

Sicily has stood as a crossroads for traffic and trade throughout the ages - inhabited by Phoenicians, Romans, Goths, Normans and Arabs among others. Today it is a transit point for would-be immigrants coming from the south. Sicily's unique geography and history is reflected in the variety of dishes present on the streets of the capital, Palermo.
