When an impulsive young British shopkeeper comes to him for help, the Monk finds a friend, but is reluctantly drawn into conflict with a vicious Triad gang. The Monk tries everything he can to avoid conflict, even fighting in demonstration fights to try and make the cash needed to pay off the Triad; and then taking his new friend into hiding. But in the end, things rapidly spirals out of control leaving the Monk with a stark choice: face his past and fight... Or die.
