Remember those saffron-robed monks hanging around airports chanting "Hare Krishna?" Where the heck did they go? I had the pleasure of finding out as I spent a few days with a "Swami" and his devotees, right in downtown Kansas City. This promo-trailer is for a forthcoming documentary which looks at their lives today and finds out where they have been. It describes a day in the life of this surprising spiritual leader and begs some interesting questions about the faith and also challenges us to take another look at this much maligned religion. In a world where we talk about healthy living, vegetarianism, "green" awareness we find that they are ahead of the curve and have been living this way for 5,000 years.
It also shows that they are very much alive and well and thriving around the world...
