Giant Salamander Emerges from River in Japan. In Kyoto Japan, bystanders were surprised by the appearance of a giant creature. This strange animal was discovered on a footpath along the Kamo River where it must have come from. It is a Japanese Giant Salamander and is considerably rare to witness, especially since they make their home underwater and are only active at night.
