State of The Internet 2015 at the Newseum, Washington DC on January 25 2015. www.stateofthenet.org/ PANEL: Ensuring An Open Internet: 2015 Promises To Be A Wild Ride If it were possible, 2015 promises an even more interesting year for efforts to ensure an open Internet than either 2014 or 2013 (and that’s saying something). At the end of 2014 the President suggested a way forward to preserving an open Internet and FCC Chairman Wheeler seems inclined to take that suggestion. At the same time (at its own prerogative), the new 114th Congress is planning to explore the issue legislatively, while others maintain that the Internet is sufficiently open and additional rules are not needed at all.
