This is just a short (and roughly edited) video showing the current, speedy, progress of the Tayside House demolition by Safedem at the start of June, 2013 to make way for a new boulevard and central park for the new £1bn Dundee Waterfront Project . Demolition began early 2013 through the use of scaffolding and small robotic RC demolition machines to bring the building down to a height of ten storeys, which was a slow and intricate process. Once this process was complete, the arrival of the Liebherr High-Reach Demolition Machine allowed for a much more speedier process so to speak, and in just a few weeks, almost half the building was down as shown in the video.
