This is the official full-length trailer for the world-premiere of ROCKIN' WITH THE LEFT, the first feature documentary produced by Common Sense Entertainment. The red-carpet release event is set for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18TH—the night of the University of Maryland’s Homecoming—at 7:00 p.m. in the Hoff Theater. The documentary--the first on any independent DC-area based band--follows alternative hip-hop band Leftist (Nurideen Bashir, Mouhamad Diabate, Ebadullah Ebadi, Mark Hatcher, Mahir Maruf, Ismail Nicolas and Bryant Wilson) as they prepare for and perform at the biggest show of their careers—opening for MGMT at Art Attack, an annual spring concert in one of the biggest venues in the area: Byrd Stadium. This is a show that Leftist has tried to play for years, but has eluded them—until now.
