Shelly has multiple sclerosis (MS) and chronic inflammatory demyelenating poly-neuropathy (CIDP). He received adult stem cell treatment in 2008 to treat symptoms of the conditions.
Shelly and his wife Marilyn were interviewed in their home in Florida in 2010.
