There is another version of this item on 3467.06 - the other version is probably best quality. Item title reads - Lindbergh's epic flight. Dramatic pictures of the start clearly show how coolly and calmly 'The Flying Fool' flew off on his great adventure. M/S as Charles Lindbergh is helped into his flying suit and gets into his aeroplane. The door is shut and he taxis and takes off. Intertitle - 'Almost simultaneously Captain Lindbergh - nicknamed 'the flying fool' - left on his lonely flight across the Atlantic from New York to Paris.' M/S of Charles stood in front of his aeroplane 'The Spirit of St. Louis', he smiles. Good C/U of him and other people in the background. Note: this item seems to contain the same titles and some of the same footage as 'Lindbergh's Epic Flight' in G1402. 90,000 historic films, all SEARCHABLE on YouTube at: www.youtube.com/britishpathe Join us on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/britishpathe Tweet us @britishpathe FILM ID:930.09
