It is such a happy tune: "In sweet rejoicing." Because of the text, I like to play this tune as a dance in a lively tempo, just as it is sung in church on Christmas day. This version is quite short and simple, with two long pedal points in the bass. In this arrangement, the tune is first presented, then repeated in the dominant (mm. 37) which then returns to the tonic (mm. 62). I especially like measures 18-25 and 54-61 in which the soprano and alto voices "dance" together. Truly a joyful trio which is a pleasure to play and to hear.
