Gingerbread Recipe: How to Make Gingerbread Dough from Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio

Watch our other Christmas videos: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7F9HNhSDxR1-r-uHKSdc0NXh40hKa0ij See our detailed blog post here --cookiescupcakesandcardio.com/?p=4625 How to Make a Gingerbread House: youtu.be/C071lKTa8e0 How to Make a Gingerbread Man: youtu.be/ljR7kNEWd8I Items used in this gingerbread recipe: • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda • 3/4 teaspoon salt • 1/2 tablespoon ground ginger • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon • 3/4 teaspoon cloves • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg • 1/2 cup butter • 1/2 cup brown sugar • 1 egg • 3/4 cup molasses Procedure: Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and spices in a medium bowl and set aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and molasses and continue to mix until combined. Add flour mixture and mix on low speed until the dough is mixed together. Separate dough into two discs and wrap each in plastic wrap. Place in fridge for at least one hour. When dough is ready to be used, roll it out to about 1/4" thickness and cut as desired. Cookies can be baked in the oven at 350F for around 14 minutes.
