I put this video together to go with my article "The Three Basics of Photography", which covers the same ground in more depth: www.lightandmatter.org/?p=3809
I wanted to make a video to cover the basics pretty quickly, so that if nothing else, the articles would be easier to understand afterwards. Plus, this thing has a cool soundtrack.
