(The instrumental section ends at 1:43.) "Be Born In Me" is a gorgeous, reflective song penned by Nichole Nordeman and beautifully sung by Francesca Battistelli. Written from Mary's point of view, Nordeman weaves an insightful picture of what Mary may have felt upon learning that she would be carrying the Son of God as her child. During the instrumental section at the beginning of the song, I included verses from Luke 1: 30-33 where Gabriel visits Mary as these verses flow quite naturally into the song itself. As we steadily approach the Christmas season, this song is a calm and introspective piece that matches the occasion perfectly. Note I: This song is part of an entire album called Music Inspired by The Story dedicated to songs from the points of view of various Old and New Testament characters. The scope is meant to be rather epic in size (hence the orchestration throughout the album). Note II: No copyright infringement is intended.
