When Trying to Solve Problems Does Not Solve Problems: Rev. Bill Stanfield at TEDxCharleston
Community Developer -- Bill is the founder and CEO of the Metanoia Community Development Corporation, a grassroots movement of people focused on the holistic redevelopment of some of our region's most vulnerable neighborhoods. Rather than focusing on problems, Bill believes philanthropy should focus on discovering and investing in the assets of particular individuals and neighborhoods. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
