16x9 - A Massacre: Dieppe Raid in WWII

submitted by ggmclean on 11/07/14 1

It was Canada's darkest day of World War II. And next summer will mark the 70th anniversary of the disastrous raid on the beach of Dieppe. Mike Armstrong went to Dieppe to walk the beach where more than 900 Canadians were killed. * Since the broadcast of this episode, documents have been made public confirming that this battle's purpose was to recover a suspected Enigma machine from the Nazis.
