Gaille Hunter Visual Artist - October Gallery

submitted by October Gallery on 11/05/13 1

Gaille Hunter is a graduate of the Philadelphia University of the Arts. A self-proclaimed 'veritable renaissance woman' she has a Masters in Education and is currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Psychology. In an effort to inspire her daughter (an elementary school teacher) to write children's stories, Gaille started out writing herself. It opened up a new artistic direction for her. A member of the Woodmere Museum, she has exhibited her paintings, which include two series; Colored Dancers and Children in Silhouette at the October Gallery. Colored Dancers can be viewed at: www.absolutearts.com/cgi-bin/portfolio/art/your-art.cgi?login=arthunter&title=Yellow_Darling-1024337541t.jpg Gaille says her poetry book My Velvet Pillow has been acclaimed a 'delightful treasure' by patrons attending her French Chanson recitals. You can read Gaille's poetry at: poetrypoem.com/cgi-bin/index.pl?&sitename=myvelvetpillow&password=310331wZ5CHWGB.S.&item=home Though she says that she is basically a homebody, Gaille finds time to teach Psychology, Elementary Methods and Professional Development as well as facilitate women's self-esteem workshops through her non profit agency, Women's Social Impact! Busy woman! Her educational media company has developed the Heritage Internet Magazine, which posts collegiate and community conscious papers, and has been endorsed by the Mayor's Commission on Literacy. Of all Gaille's artistic pursuits, songwriting is closest to her heart. She believes her album City of Hope offers a refreshing escape from today's soulless popular music.
