Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and chief executive officer, has been named to the board of China’s Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. The school, founded in 2000 by former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji, has served as an important policy advisory body to the Chinese government. He impressed audiences in his first ever public Q&A in Chinese at Tsinghua University in Beijing on 20 Oct 2014. Mr. Zuckerberg has long stated the desire to bring his social network, banned in China since 2009, to the world’s most populous nation. He will spend several days in this China trip to meet advertising partners and experts to learn about the market, Facebook said.
