Interview in German with English subtitles.

Nanna is a beautiful twelve-year old from Switzerland. She is virtually blinded by Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. Nanna wants to read and write like other girls her age. For such a young girl she has spent a lot of time pursuing any advantage that might improve her vision.

Her mother said surgery wasn't an option risking a complete cut to Nanna's optic nerve. But the developmental activity of adult stem cells delivered via lumbar puncture has been felt by many people with optic disorders.

They traveled to Qingdao to give stem cells a try. In this video Nanna and her mother talk about her condition and the experience of receiving such a new therapy in China.
