Dr Klein is an American ophthalmologist practicing in Florida. His work has led him into contact with several Optic Nerve Hypoplasia patients who have traveled to China for adult stem cell treatments. We asked him how he got involved with patients going outside the US for medical treatments, what dangers existed for patients making the trip and the limits he saw on the improvement possible.
