submitted by Brice on 11/01/13 1

Optic Nerve Atrophy patients can receive adult stem cell transplants targeted at improving vision. ONA leads to varying levels of blindness. It is caused by a variety of factors including heredity and physical damage to the optic nerve. These men had been given no options for medical treatment prior to adult stem cell transplants.

Matt and Adam have the hereditary form of Optic Nerve Atrophy. Here with their wives, they discuss the improvements they saw through their treatment and how it has improved their quality of life.

Adult stem cell treatments available today in China are not a cure for ONA. But with blindness, even incremental improvements in vision can have powerful impacts on an individual's quality of life.
