Danish Thorkild May (KROM Kendama part owner / pro) wins the Freestyle Kendama World Championship ”Catch&Flow” September 13 2014, Tokyo. Both Philip Eldridge and Thorkild May from KROM was among the 16 best players from the preliminary round, where the worlds best 60 kendama players battled for the title as the first world champion of Freestyle Kendama. Both the of the Danes went to the finals, but Philip lost against Canadian Rodney Ansell. Thorkild is fighs his way to the gold, but with tough competition from USA & Japan. The skill level is extraordinarily high. The crowd is going crazy in each battle, especially in the semi finals where Thorkild faces Gloken Style World Champion Bonz Atron (USA). Thorkild says: “The first round against Bonz is the best Kendama I’ve ever played. I knew I had to kill it real hard to win, so I put all stakes on some super hard technical and aesthetic tricks, which I rarely pull first try”. **RULES OF CATCH&FLOW** In the preliminary rounds all players have 90 seconds one at a time to do a performance. The best 16 players makes it to the finals where they compete one-on-one. Each players have 45 seconds one at a time over two rounds.
