www.ltsmiles.com Dr. Rabee McDonald, Lifetime Smiles in Escondido is at the California Dental Association meeting in Anaheim. "One of my biggest dilemmas in dentistry is when I find those small cavities in between the teeth because in order to fill something really small in between the teeth I have to destroy a certain amount of tooth structure in order to get to that very small lesion. Should we just watch that little cavity or should we destroy the tooth and try to get to that cavity? I don’t have to make that decision anymore because with this technology we are able to fill these tiny cavities without numbing you or drilling your teeth. We're going to do it on a small model so you can see how easy it is. Bill explains: "We need to etch the surface of the tooth to begin with to make it porous so we will place the tip on the syringe -twist it let it sit on the tooth for 2 minutes - take it off, rinse the tooth thoroughly - then we apply a very specialized drying agent to completely dry that tooth out - bone dry. Let it soak into the tooth for 30 seconds and then we air dry it. A very specialized resin is then used to infiltrate that small little cavity. We do not have to anesthetize the patient or drill a hole. It's a very simple process, very kind for the patient." Want more information on no drilling? Conact: Lifetime Smiles 1060 E.
