Dumyat is probably the most important hill local to Stirling and it marks the western edge of the Ochills. It's often the backcloth to Abbey Craig and/or views of the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle. It's become a bit of what I would call a bling hill. Stuff on top includes a memorial to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders as well as a fire basket and the more normal trig point. On a clear day you can see coast to coast across the central belt of Scotland. Enjoy Scotland listen to my weekly podcast Passing Places www.bonnietours.com
