My website is wintershomeservices.com. I'll be talking to you today about plumbing. Alright, so today we are gonna talk about how to clear a bathroom sink drain. So, we have our basic bathroom sink drain here. 9 times out of 10, usually the sink is blocked right here at this pop up assembly. This collects a lot of hair, it collects a lot of toothpaste, a lot of soap, so we have to disconnect it and then lift -- lift the assembly straight up and lo and behold, you can see that it's clogged full of what looks like mud and sludge and all that stuff. Now, if you have an old tooth brush, you take and scrub it out and knock these things out. But for this demo, I'm gonna just take some water and I'm gonna run it through and get all these little ports clean and clear. See, how they're getting more clear now. You want to still keep doing that. Done. The sink, it's still jammed, so now what are we gonna do? Now we've to take a plunger and see what we can -- see how we can fix it. You have a plunger like this, you have it in, there's two different settings for it. This setting would be for getting a seal off flat surface, like in a sink. This would be a seal for a toilet, when it goes into the bowl. So in this case when we go in to clean our sink, we're gonna push this in. On every sink there's an overflow and it's located usually in the front. Take your plunger, you're gonna block of with a clean rag, block off this little overflow port and hold your hand firmly down in that port, you wanna push down with the plunger and then pull back, push down, pull back. Sometimes you wanna put more water in it and use the water to push the blockage. And there it goes. It's not fun but it's gonna get done by itself, so, very disgusting."
