Boy falls 7-stories, survives with no broken bones

Landscaping around the pool deck of the 10th floor of the Doubletree Grand Hotel may have saved a 4-year-old boy's life as it cushioned his fall off a balcony on the 17th floor of the hotel. The boy fell off of a balcony around 11am Friday morning, bounced off a palm tree and then hit some shrubs before landing in a small patch of dirt surrounded by concrete. The fall is being called nothing short of a miracle by bystanders as the boy reportedly has no broken bones or major injuries. EMILY MICHOT / MIAMI HERALD STAFF
