Oscar-nominated K.K. Barrett (Her, Where the Wild Things Are) directs a genre-mashing adaptation of Kid Koala's graphic novel, Nufonia Must Fall, in an experience that is equal parts cinema, theater and concert. Under Barrett's direction, the performance unfolds via real-time filming of more than a dozen miniature stages and a cast of puppets, while Kid Koala, accompanied by the Afiara String Quartet, performs his original score on piano and turntable.
