AdventBible.com - "Trust and Obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." This word obey is fast becoming an obsolete word in the modern lexicon of Christianity. It seems to me that it much more acceptable these days to lift "holy" hands in praise and worship, than to obey the plain "thus saith the Lord." Obedience is too hard. Obedience is inconvenient. Obedience takes too much effort and time. It's much easier for us to go to church once a week, get our praise on, and listen to a vapid sermon that puts us to sleep than to fully trust and obey God. Just because we don't see a logical reason for commands given by God, doesn't mean that we shouldn't obey Him.
