One day, God came to Abraham and said to him, "I promise to bless you, and make your family great if you leave your home for Canaan, and because of you all the families of the earth will be blessed." One night God appeared and promised Abraham a great reward. God took Abraham out beneath the sky and said, "Look up at the stars in the sky. You will have a son. He will have children, and his children will have children, and one day they will be as many as the stars in the sky." God promised, that because of Abraham, all people on earth would be blessed.
