Mr. Law is a retired teacher who sleeps for three hours a night in the front seat of his car so that he'll never miss an opportunity to hand out sandwiches on a cold winter night. From South Carolina to Minneapolis to India, the humanity of these extraordinary people is evident not only in the good they do, but in the emotional toll it takes on them, and the film's lush cinematography captures it all with poetic grace.
