Medics say the overall Palestinian death toll has now soared to at least 410. The figure jumped high following a massive Israeli assault on Shejaiya district in eastern Gaza, early on Sunday. This after the army intensified its aerial and ground operations. Israeli tanks and artillery continue to shell northern and eastern Gaza, while fighter jets keep pounding other positions in the densely-populated region. More than three-thousand Palestinians have also been wounded since July the eighth. Medics are now warning of a serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza as hospitals are running out of basic medical supplies. The impoverished territory has been under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007.
