Zarif lamented the humanitarian situation in Gaza. He said that the Israeli onslaught on Gaza cannot be justified under any pretext. He also criticized the UN Security Council's inaction on the Israeli aggression. Iran's parliament speaker, for his part, accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. As the chairman of the P-U-I-C, Ali Larijani called on all the member states to strengthen their unity in order to stop Israeli crimes. Larijani also called on Egypt to open the Rafah crossing so humanitarian aid can be transferred to Gaza.
