Timothy Matovina, professor of theology and executive director of the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame, will speak on the Catholic Church in the United States as it is being transformed by Latino voices. Matovina, author of the acclaimed Latino Catholicism: Transformation in America's Largest Church (2012), studies theology and culture and specializes in U.S. Catholic and U.S. Latino theology and religion. Alejandro Aguilera-Titus, assistant director of the USCCB's Secretariat for Cultural Diversity in the Church, will act as respondent.
