Some models have a ton of aftermarket upgrades, but that can get expensive (quickly). Others don't have as much aftermarket support but are solid performers and have more holstering options. Some are impossible to holster! Whether it's for training, skirmishing, or a MILSIM event, weighing the options between so many choices can be challenging. Where the Elite Force 1911 may not have as many aftermarket upgrade parts, it does extremely well in the reliability category. Although not as accurate or consistent in fps as other options, the TAC 1911 will continue to plug away as long as you keep feeding it BBs and gas. Though the Glock may not perform flawlessly out of the box, it does offer an extremely realistic replica that can be used in training/EDC/LEO applications and for those looking to emulate certain kits. Upgrade parts are also becoming more available and many/most are less expensive than hicapa parts. If you're looking for the the most available upgrades and the best out of box performance as far as accuracy is concerned, get a TM, waiting for parts to wear, turn it into a Ferrari. Also, Desert Eagle. What do you think the best beginner Airsoft pistol is? How about the best backup? The best overall performer out of the box? Share in the comments below!
