In this episode, we tried a Filipino carinderia for the very first time! 🇵🇭 A carinderia is a small, family-run eatery found all over the Philippines, serving freshly cooked local dishes at affordable prices—perfect for anyone travelling on a budget. We stumbled upon a random carinderia and were welcomed by a variety of home-cooked Filipino food. While pork dishes dominated the menu, we went for vegetable and fish-based meals instead. Some of the highlights included fish steak, sinigang na isda (sour fish soup), and a delicious coconut jackfruit dish, along with other vegetable options we could not quite name—but all packed with flavour!
