Summit 25 – The Mountain Cleaners, held at Sambhaavna Institute, Palampur (February 11-14)* and supported by Rainmatter Foundation, brought together 40 committed individuals—NGOs, community groups, and independent changemakers—united by a shared vision of addressing waste management challenges. Over three days, participants engaged in insightful discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and interactive activities led by facilitator Manali Shah. These sessions, including **postcard reflections, buddy groups, and hopes and fears exercises, encouraged critical thinking and innovative problem-solving. The summit also included field visits to Bir and Dharamshala, providing firsthand exposure to waste management efforts on the ground. A key highlight was The Pitch Fest, where eight participants presented their ideas in a high-energy competition. With only five minutes to make their case before a jury, three winners were awarded cash prizes. Beyond the competition, the event fostered a spirit of collaboration, with participants supporting one another and laying the groundwork for future partnerships. As the summit concludes, its impact continues. The ideas, connections, and initiatives born here will drive meaningful change in waste management across various regions. We look forward to seeing the transformative projects that will emerge from this gathering.
