We all grew up listening to the Beatles. They have really become a part of who we are as people. Like other songs and artists, we were a little apprehensive to cover a Beatles song, because we didn’t know if we could do it justice. We also had another problem: there are just so many great Beatles songs that we all loved and wanted to cover, so it was hard to decide which songs to do! Every day we are learning and growing as musicians, performers, arrangers, and a few months ago we felt that we were ready and confident to finally arrange a few of our favorite Beatles songs. We met together with some song ideas and we came to the conclusion that Because, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Come Together would be three great songs to arrange. The first song, Because, is not as popular as the other two songs in our medley, but we felt it sounded absolutely beautiful on strings we just had to add it in. We also felt like it added a great introductory feeling to our medley, similar to how the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show does (if you haven't seen it yet, it's a must-see!). We also wanted to keep this arrangement with strictly three instruments. There were no overdubs or extra parts outside of what we can do live on just our three instruments. The Beatles is one of those bands that transcends time. Their music can touch any age. When we perform this song live, it is such a great moment in the show! People of all ages connect with it, and therefore connect with each other as well. Whether you’ve never heard these songs or you know every word, we are happy your are here listening and enjoying!
