This video is aimed at children, young people, parents and professionals. Controlling our breathing helps our parasympathetic nervous system to calm us when our emotions are strong, it can help us to take control of our emotions and our thinking. We hope this video helps you to practice this skill and we would encourage you to practice this often, when you are feeling good and when your emotions are feeling strong because the more you use the skill the easier it is to remember to use it when you need it.
