Join us for the start of a new series at Swerve where we will tackle the claims of some of the biggest world religions and put them up against the Bible. - - - ✏️ MESSAGE NOTES: “Be on your guard against false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.” {Matthew 7:15} 1: GOD IS TRUTHFUL God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill? {Numbers 23:19} 2: JESUS CLAIMED TO BE THE TRUTH Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” {John 14:5} 3: WE ARE CALLED TO PURSUE TRUTH Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things. {Philippians 4:8} 4: THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE As he was saying these things, many believed in him. Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you continue in my word, you really are my disciples.
